29 July 2011, The Evening Standard, Louise Jury, Chief Arts Correspondent:

‘Inspired by larks flying across East End marshes, a 12-metre mobile is installed at Stratford Westfield to bring a sense of joy to the shopping centre. An Exaltation of Larks was created by Yorkshire husband and wife art team Juliet and Jamie for the new £35 million John Lewis store. When the centre opens on September 13, shoppers can hear Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending on a phone app while viewing the mobile.

A spokeswoman said John Lewis had a tradition of art with Barbara Hepworth’s Winged Figure on the wall of its Oxford Street store.

Juliet Gutch said: “Skylarks are so joyful when they are singing and that’s the feeling we wanted to create.”‘
