We had a wonderful day last week visiting the Windermere Jetty Museum for a site visit for Dovetailing in the summer. A talk with the conservation team opened up so many avenues of thoughts about wood, trees, shapes, craft, and working with the elements. The sounds of the conservation team at work, of water in the boatyard and the lake lapping at the pebbly shore were mesmerising and I can’t wait to spend more time there. The image above shows light falling through the slats of the boat yard ceiling onto the water with a few water boatmen paddling across and making tiny ripples.
